EVOH (also known as EVAL) is a random copolymer of ethylene – vinyl alcohol.
It is a crystalline polymer with a chain molecular structure.The melt mass flow rate was 0.7 ~ 20 g / 10min, the density was 1.13 ~ 1.21 g/cm, the melting point was 158 ~ 189℃, and the tensile fracture strength was 44 MPa.The content of ethylene (mole fraction, the same below) in EVOH is usually 20% ~ 45%, and that of ethylene alcohol is 55% ~ 80%.EVOH and polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) and polyamide (PA) and known as the world’s three barrier resin.
