High RTI flame retardant reinforced PET
The RTI 155°C UL yellow card certification has very high requirements for the high temperature performance and long-term thermal stability of the material, and the test cycle is long and the cost is high. Therefore, the RTI certification of domestic modified polymers is still in its infancy. In 2013, Jusailong’s high RTI reinforced flame-retardant PET was the first to pass the certification and was widely recognized by the market.
PETFR1300 and PET-FR2300 are two major grades of Polyceron’s high RTI, high glow wire, and high CTI flame-retardant reinforced PET materials.
Advantages of modified PET plastic
Compared with other modified plastics, modified PET plastic has the advantages of heat resistance, good mechanical properties and high cost performance.
Good heat resistance: heat distortion temperature and long-term use temperature are the highest among thermoplastic general engineering plastics. Reinforced PET is immersed in a solder bath at 250°C for 10 seconds, and it hardly deforms or discolors.
Good mechanical properties: bending strength 200MPa, elastic modulus up to 4000MPa, creep resistance and fatigue resistance, high surface hardness, and mechanical properties similar to thermosetting plastics.
High cost performance: Since the ethylene glycol used in the production of PET is almost half cheaper than the butylene glycol used in the production of PBT, PET plastic and reinforced PET plastic are highly cost-effective among engineering plastics.
Application of PET plastic In the electrical field, PET material with high glow wire and high CTI halogen-free flame retardant reinforced PET material has excellent anti-yellowing and anti-precipitation properties, good molding processability, and is used in inverter frame, frame, compressor terminal Covers, relays, etc.
