PP antistatic plastic sheet for electronic product tray

PP is a high polymer with CH structure, containing up to 90% of C. It is a flammable polymer, and PP is also an excellent electrical insulator. Polypropylene (PP) has the advantages of low density, non-toxicity, easy processing, impact strength, flex resistance and good electrical insulation, and is widely used in packaging, textiles, building materials, electronic appliances and many other industries.

Properties of polypropylene sheet products

1. PP plastic sheet has good dispersibility: it has excellent compatibility with polystyrene and polyethylene, so even if a large amount of filler is added, a product with good appearance and finish can still be obtained.

2. PP sheet with high whiteness: This product is a pure white granular material, which can be flexibly formulated to produce products of various colors.

3. Coupling agent treatment: In the case of large filling amount, the product still maintains good mechanical properties.

4. Wide process adaptability: The original processing equipment and process can be used for production.

In the dust-free clean workshop of the electronics factory, the humidity is very small, and static electricity is easily generated, which can damage electronic components. Therefore, trays containing electronic components need to undergo antistatic treatment. PP has good ductility and can be used to make plastic sheets, which can be made into trays through the blister process.

Among them, the tray used to hold electronic components requires a surface resistivity of 108-1010 ohms. Because PP is prone to static electricity, the application of polypropylene sheets in the electronic packaging industry requires the addition of antistatic agents.

The migrating antistatic agent is difficult to play an antistatic effect in the dust-free clean workshop environment with low humidity, and with the consumption of the antistatic agent, it will soon lose its effect, and the electronic tray cannot be reused.

Antistatic agents such as conductive carbon black or conductive graphite are added in large amounts to form a conductive network, and the surface resistivity can reach below 106. When used to install electronic devices, it may cause short circuits in the chip. Such antistatic agents are easy to fall off and cause dust pollution. Clean workshop.

The permanent antistatic agent is a hydrophilic polymer, which forms a percolation network with conductive ability inside the plastic, which is used as a conductive path to drain the electrostatic charge on the surface and the body, and reduce the resistivity. Its antistatic effect is lasting and is not affected by conditions such as wiping and washing. The antistatic effect is less dependent on the relative humidity of the air, and it is of natural color, and can be formulated into various colors. Its disadvantage is that the amount of addition is large and the price is more expensive.
