PP plastic sheet blister packaging molding

Polypropylene (PP) resin has the characteristics of low density, non-toxicity, easy processing, warping resistance and good insulation. It is suitable for injection molding, extrusion blow molding, thermoforming and other processing methods. widely used.

PP plastic characteristics

Non-toxic, tasteless, low density, strength, stiffness, hardness and heat resistance are better than low pressure polyethylene, can be used at about 100 ¡æ. It has good dielectric properties and high frequency insulation and is not affected by humidity, but becomes brittle at low temperature, not wear-resistant and easy to age. Suitable for making general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts. Common organic solvents such as acids and alkalis have little effect on it, and can be used in tableware.

Vacuum forming of PP sheet

In the vacuum forming process, the forming performance of modified polypropylene sheet with (20% to 30%) low density polyethylene (PE) is the best.

The requirements of polypropylene for molding conditions: mold release slope: punch 2°¡«3° (optimal 5°), concave die 10¡«3° (optimum 5°). Forming temperature: sheet temperature 150 ~ 180 ¡æ. Mold temperature: 70°C¡«90°C. Molding shrinkage: punch 0.02¡«0.03mm/mm, concave die 0.03¡«0.04mm/mm.

Due to the rich material source and low price of polypropylene sheet, it has the characteristics of non-toxic, odorless, good transparency and high mechanical strength. Therefore, the polypropylene sheet is subjected to vacuum forming processing, and various blister packaging products are made, which are widely used in food, medicine, mechanical parts, daily necessities and other industries.

PP plastic sheet for thermoforming

In addition to simple lunch boxes, polypropylene blister packaging products currently on the market include water cups, spoons, bowls, pickle boxes, blister packaging boxes for various native products, yogurt cans, trays, etc. Because polypropylene products can be microwaved and sterilized at 125 degrees Celsius, they are widely used in ready-to-eat food blister packaging. In addition, polypropylene vacuum blister packaging and molding products have also been gradually applied in agricultural production in recent years, such as seedling trays, breeding cups, etc.

PP has the same bonding problems as PE and can be bonded after pretreatment. Hotplates for welding and friction welding have been very successful.

Postprocessing:

When punching by punching die and trimming die, the cutting gap needs to be 5mm, the material temperature is too high, and burrs appear in the cutting. Corresponding measures should be taken to maintain the minimum deformation during sealing. For heat sealing with a coating layer, the temperature is 150-180 °C, and the sealing time is 1s.
